April has been part of Christian education her whole life and is passionate about providing teaching with a Biblical worldview.
April Dwamena has been part of Christian education her whole life, first by attending a Christian school in Montrose, Colorado, which her parents help found. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Biology, she taught at Spring Cypress Presbyterian School in Spring Texas. She assisted with the accreditation process through the Association of Christian School International. She has experience in developing testing and evaluation methods, writing and implementing curriculum as well as scope and sequence for various subjects.
She's homeschooled her children and was involved in the schools her children attended: Covenant Christian Academy a classical Christian school in Cypress Texas as well as an International Christian school in Ghana. April has taught grades 1st through 12th. After completing her BS-Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, she developed and ran an internship program for newly graduated nurses.
She has organized children's, youth, and women's programs and events as well as multiple mission trips. She is passionate about discipleship, Christian education, and helping people develop a biblical worldview. She moved to Lampasas almost 6 years ago where she and her family have a hobby ranch and enjoy this community and all this area has to offer. She attends New Covenant Church and helps with their Wednesday kids' program.
